Top finance roles for a pay rise

Average starting salaries in the finance sector are expected to rise at a meagre 2.1 per cent this year, just ahead of the national wage growth rate which remains at an all-time low of 1.9 per cent.

Recruiter Robert Half calculates that Brisbane will have the highest overall salary growth for finance jobs, at 3.5 per cent, followed by Melbourne at 2.5 per cent, Sydney at 1.7 per cent and Perth at 0.8 per cent.
