The program was established to support Tasmanian businesses whose business operations have been impacted due to critical staff being required to isolate or quarantine due to COVID-19, being forced to close due to a public health direction, which have suffered a significant reduction in demand, or that has resulted in a reduction in turnover due to COVID-19 of 30 per cent or more between 15 January and 14 February 2022 inclusive, compared to the same period in 2021.
Funding of between $1,000 and $10,000 is available to eligible businesses, depending on business size. Support of up to $5,000 is also available to businesses that experienced an unavoidable loss of perishable goods because they have had to close.
Additionally, round two of the Advanced Manufacturing Accelerating Growth Program closes on Friday, 25 March 2022.
Funding is available to Tasmanian-based advanced manufacturing enterprises to purchase capital equipment, linked to an off-island market-driven expansion opportunity that results in an increase in employment. The program is competitively based and assessed on the stated criteria with grants provided on a co-contribution basis with a maximum grant of $100,000.
