Startups fret over encryption law changes post-election

Startups are pleading with the Morrison government to consider amendments to encryption laws they fear will hurt their businesses, after the Coalition's surprise election victory put a pause on possible revisions to the controversial legislation.

Over the past five months Labor had promised the tech community that if elected, it would pass revisions to the laws that compel technology businesses to help law enforcement access data to fight serious crime.
