The latest round of grants is a part of the $2.5 billion the government has put towards supporting businesses since the start of the pandemic.
Business Boost Grants of up to $15,000 are aimed at helping businesses improve their planning, software, and growth and can be used for activities such as website development, marketing, training and coaching, advisory services, and planning for business continuity and succession.
It is estimated that 169 small businesses across the state will be able to fast-track their business upgrades with the latest $2.05 million funding round — the second for the Business Boost Grants program.
The minister said the Business Boost Grants were in addition to the Business Basics Grants and the Business Growth Fund forming part of the grants package under the Big Plans for Small Business Strategy.
