No compulsion on retirement income: O’Dwyer

The government is close to releasing a new discussion paper on comprehensive income products for retirement (CIPRs), says Financial Services Minister Kelly O'Dwyer – but retirees will not be "forced" to use them.

Speaking at a Committee for Sustainable Retirement Income leadership forum in Canberra yesterday, Financial Services Minister Kelly O’Dwyer said the government will allow super funds to “pre-select” retirement income products for their members.
