Mandatory education reforms push three-quarters of accountants out of financial advice: poll
Industry polling suggests over three-quarters of accountants will stop providing financial advice or palm them off to a financial planning firm in light of the incoming education changes set out by FASEA.
A straw poll of 602 accountants by Accountants Daily has revealed that 44.3 per cent will stop providing financial advice, with a further 31.2 per cent saying they would refer clients with needs to a financial planning firm.
