‘Cyber reality check’: COVID-19 sees a rise in data breaches

While data breaches surged as a result of expedited digitisation due to the pandemic, organisations have yet to implement adequate cyber-security measures, according to a BDO survey.

A 2020 cyber-security survey released by BDO and AusCERT on Tuesday highlighted a failure among organisations to identify the cyber-security risks posed by rapid digitisation, as the rate of data breaches more than doubled year-on-year.
