Businesses told to prepare for ATO’s JobKeeper review as tip-offs rise
The ATO has been flooded with complaints linked to the abuse of the JobKeeper program, with employers found guilty of deliberately rorting the system, facing penalties of up to $126,000 or up to 10 years in prison.

According to the ATO, the number of complaints received by its hotline numbered 3,338 as of 31 May. The Tax Office confirmed for MyBusiness that it will first cross-check the information before assessing if further action is required.
