Business owners shudder following hints ATO could be doing their BAS
Small businesses haven’t taken well to comments made by tax boss Chris Jordan regarding the possible digitisation of the BAS system, with many doubting the ATO’s ability to take on this mammoth task and execute it without fail.

Speaking on a recent Work with Purpose podcast, hosted by the Institute of Public Administration Australia, Commissioner of Taxation Chris Jordan hinted that the ATO could be completing all business activity statement (BAS) obligations on behalf of businesses.
