Banks using social media to help combat fraud
It may seem like a tenuous connection, but banks are increasingly relying on social media and other external data sources in a bid to combat financial fraud, a fraud insights leader has said.

Steven Scheurmann, leader of financial crimes insights at IBM Asia Pacific, revealed that banks and payments companies are becoming increasingly reliant on external data to build profiles of customers in order to identify suspicious transactions and activities.
