ATO upgrades myGovID to ease worker registration
New features have been added to the Tax Office’s myGovID, allowing eligibility to a range of additional forms of documents for workers under Australian visas to verify their identity.
Workers can now use their Australian visa (including electronic visas) to verify their identity in the myGovID app if they’re a permanent or temporary resident of Australia, the ATO said on its website.
