ATO could be doing your BAS soon, tax boss hints
Tax boss Chris Jordan has hinted that the ATO will be looking to further streamline processes for small businesses, by possibly implementing an automatic business activity statement (BAS) system to accommodate a more flexible digital world.

Speaking on the Work with Purpose podcast, hosted by the Institute of Public Administration Australia, Commissioner of Taxation Chris Jordan hinted that the ATO is looking at ways to further streamline business processes, modelled on the success of Single Touch Payroll.
