Regina Fikkers, an existing member of the AASB, has been appointed deputy chair.

Ms Fikkers is an accounting advisory partner at PwC, boasting more than 17 years of experience assisting companies in Australia, Europe and Asia to report under IFRS – including streamlining their reports to divulge information in a more meaningful fashion.

In addition to her role as advisory partner, Ms Fikkers is also a member of PwC’s team supporting regulatory reform for not-for-profit entities, as well as PwC’s financial instruments global accounting team.

“Regina is an excellent fit for the role – her global experience with IFRS reporting and her work in improving reporting in Australia will enhance the AASB as a leading national standard-setter and a global centre of excellence,” said AASB chair Kris Peach.
