Representing the IPA
Andrew Conway and I were recently pleased to announce the admittance of the Institute of Public Accountants to the Confederation of Asian and Pacific Accountants (CAPA). As one of the world’s largest regional accounting organisations, being a full member of CAPA marks a major milestone for the Institute. Recognition by CAPA will provide our valued members with a strengthened and portable Public Accountant designation.
In late May, Andrew represented the Institute of Public Accountants at the 5th International Financial Reporting Standards Regional Policy Forum in Bali. The Indonesian Institute of Accountants hosted the forum which allowed policy makers from a number of countries to discuss the challenges and opportunities faced in today’s global world.
In early July, the Institute was proud to be a platinum partner of the Accounting and Finance Association of Australia and New Zealand (AFAANZ) conference in Darwin. The conference provided attendees with an opportunity to gain new knowledge and skills while networking with international colleagues.
Join us at the Victorian Small Business Festival
The Institute will also be hosting two unique sessions at the Victorian Small Business Festival in August. The first event will provide small business enterprises (SMEs) with insight into superannuation, and the second session will focus on how SMEs can innovate with the assistance of micro-boards.
